Beetroot skins?

Am just cooking the thinnings - can I give the skins to the chucks or does it do to them what it does to us and turn -ahem - everything pink? Just don't fancy pink tinted eggs!!

P.S so far the battle of the crow and I are winning but it really is a battle of wits - and I cant get anything much done in the mornings!

It can turn eggs pink

It was actually passed to me as a tip on how to make them pink so I guess it must work. It remains untried here though.

Don't know about eggs but beetroot certainly leads to pink chicken poo!

Sadly it doesn't work! I've tried! Well in ducks anyway. Thought it would be fun to try after a conversation with my mum. A week of beetroot and a lot of bright pink duck poo and not the faintest hint of a pink egg.
