help with candlelit dinner
« on: November 27, 2006, 13:28 »
Ok, I have just dontated a candlelit dinner for 2 to an auction promise event for charity.

You know, the idea, people bid to have a candlelit dinner at my place (me cooking and waitressing etc.   and doing the dining room up all romantic etc etc. for which I'd decided on a menu which was fairly romatic  - chocolate heart desserts etc)

Well the winning bidders are two men.... do I lose the candles or what... am now not sure what to do, are they friends or partners .......oh my god what do i do????

Starting from scratch............

I'm now crying with laughter........ you are reminding me of a few old faulty towers episodes......  think i will video the whole evening and sell to some sitcom.  (i'll be the dizzy waitress - calm and sophisticated in the dining room and gibbering, giggling wreck in the kitchen)

at least it wont be a boring evening.

Think I'll leave oyster and squirrel off the menu though!!!

nope definately keep it romantic sorrel - just think - one of the chaps might be planning to make use of the romance of it all to go down on one knee and propose a civil partnership to the other - so just go for it and keep the candles and pink hearts and pink champagne flowing!

and hang on to the chocs in case he is going to propose to the other one, and if he doesn't, you can console yourself by eating the chocs after they've gone, or preferably send them over to me!!!!!! lol

Look, if they're gay then they won't be embarrassed if you ask and if they're not then they won't be either - so just ask!

We were in a restaurant in Corfu with out daughter chatting to the Scottish waiter who mentioned he's come out to be with the chef. Our daughter (10) pops up - 'Are you gay, then?' - He answered yes and that was it, conversation continued. We were so shocked - didn't know our daughter knew what gay was (or anything about birds and bees)
