I haven't been here this time of morning for a little while. I must be excited at getting another greenhouse and thinking what I can grow in that one too. I wonder how difficult grapes would be to grow? Off to do a bit of research.  :D

There's a field near Matlock planted with grape vines.  When my mum was young they grew grapes with the roots outside and the vines inside the glass porch.  They lived in Dunbartonshire so I think you should be OK :)

My dad planted a grape vine outside of his lean-to greenhouse years and years ago. My son lives in the bungalow now and made a great job of re-training and pruning it last year. It gives a good harvest with the minimum of attention. Inside the greenhouse lots of ventilation needed and protection from scorching sun. Outside the odd bucket of manure and plenty of water.

It suddenly dawned on me that maybe I'm following the wrong thread: "Early morning" when I should be hunting for: "Late night"

Sweet dreams everyone...  ;)

No internet access, It's raining and the internet is a trifle sensitive. However, it's lovely to see rain and the nightingale has not let it put him off, so all is well. :D

Now, will this post?

Yes it did!

Had a week away, but soon back into the old routine!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Morning everyone.
DD hope you enjoyed your week away, the weather didn't seem to be too bad least.
Paul it's early the next day so it counts for the early morning club  :D
I have tossed and turned all night with painful joints after an 11 hour stint on the greenhouse yesterday and all afternoon the day before. I have washed every single PAIN of glass and all the frame in fact the only thing not to get washed was the soil IN the greenhouse  :( I don't see any other woman or man for that case spending 11 or 12 hours a day in their gardens or allotment so I have come to the conclusion that a) my hubby is a slave driver and b) I am stupid enough to do it  ::)

Can you see the nightingale? Can you record him singing?
