Thanks all.

First year trying to grow 'pumps' and have already resoluted to feed better next year.

Brought them inside this morning, i noticed the bottoms of them were more orange than the rest, which led me to believe the 'warmth' of the foam kneeling pad they were sitting on must have been helping.

I have no intention on spending 5 euro on a orange one from the shops. My three year old has been telling these small footballs to go orange for a month or so now. I will paint them if i have to!

Eating them this year is less of a priority than making halloween decorations i'm afraid.

Never thought to let them get itimate with a ageing bananna though. That's worth a try.

Thanks again for all your suggestions.

Happy Hallows Eve!!!!
Liv.
