Black sweet peppers?
« on: August 23, 2020, 15:41 »
Hi,
This year rather than buy seeds for one or two varieties of peppers I bought a packet labeled "mixed Peppers". Some of them are producing black peppers of a reasonable size. My only experience is those that start off green then go yellow and finally red.
No I do not have the seed packet that went in the bin ages ago.
does anyone have any ideas, will they change colour or is that variety ripe at this stage?

Most of them usually ripen to red if left long enough, or you can eat them when black/purple, they then taste more like green peppers.

Thank you. I'll wait then just didn't want to wait if it was a variety that stayed that colour and I risked them going to rot. :-)
