[Pretty Chick]

I've 2 eggs under 1 of my broody hens. 1 has externally pipped and the other is internally pipping and I can hear them both peeping.
21 days is up tomorrow.
I took a quick look at both the eggs this morning and saw a tiny light brown bug sort of thing trying to crawl into the egg that has externally pipped. At first, I thought it was the chick's toe, but then realised it was a bug because it crawled away from the opening.

I'm worried they might be lice/mite. I've only ever seen a couple of others, so if they are lice/mite, we don't have a very bad case of it.
If any get into the egg, will they harm the chick???

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

The chick's head's out  :happy: :happy: :happy:. Can't wait too see it when it's dried off a bit  . Poor little thing looks exhausted

broody hens are prone to lice when they sit just make sure you dust the coop well when you clean out and the mum if you can(not sure about chicks) .I normally give mum and chicks a good dust once they are ready to be separated also.If you dust the bedding it should sort the chicks out too
