Male ones maybe?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Makes a difference to them!

Seriously, the male flower will only have a thin stalk behind it, whereas the female has a swelling - which is an embryonic fruit.

The male will fall off as a matter of course, as will early females.

My pumpkin flowers all falling off also. I know it's early in the season but surely they should't all be falling off without any sign of fruiting.

I have now had four or five flushes of flowers and no fruit

I have loads of flower buds and have done for weeks but no sign of them actually flowering. Was starting to think that even if they do flower and set it will be too late for them to grow and ripen?
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

I've seen huge pumpkins grown within only 6 weeks, so don't worry about having time for them to ripen. You'll have them in time for halloween!
