Now for sure grasshoppers have knees but my dahlias don't do a lot of bending down so their's are less evident...  ::)

I normally cheat and glue a grasshopper ( not a live one ... just in case the thought police are active ) to each dahlia ( about arms length down from my height ... I don't want a dodgy back huh? ) ... then I snip them off just above that :D

There we go - I stand to be informed correctly  ::) I thought it was a measurement of how high a grasshopper could hop = "knee height"  :blink:  ;)

Well, if you don't glue them well enough, they're certainly able to hop from that height to ground level :roll:
