has anyone got a easy way (wishfull thinking) for club root control.
theres lime ,burning the transplant hole before the seedling or young plant is planted,a 20 year rest of the soil before you use it.
so is there any more tips ?
feed the soil not the plants
organicish
you learn gardening by making mistakes

The experts in the NVS grow decent brassicas in clubroot soil by bring the plant on as far as possible in pots then adding a small amount of lime to the planting hole. I think they go up to 9" pots.

The clubroot still effects them but not so much as the plant has got off to a good start.

wonder how these farmers grow fields and fields of them .
in work we have what is called a pram its a gas fired heater about 2m wide that we heat laid tarmac with(to get any humps and bumps out)it goes to about 500 degrees i wonder if i drag that over my plot to kill the clubroot will it work(it will take an army to pull it over soil though)

I've read somewhere that putting a chunk of rhubarb in the planting hole does something useful to stop it?

I suppose fusing the soil to glass with the roadburner might 'cure' it - certainly the soil would be lifeless - no worms or any other microbe that makes up the ecosystem
Rhubarb - proven to be ineffective , a myth I'm afraid.

There was a study by the HDRA that showed no effect - but then again, I don't believe in homeopathy.
