This is an interesting thread but,may I open it up and ask- do any of you have any experience of electric mini ovens or tabletop ovens.
   I am thinking of getting one mainly for baking.

I had a mini oven years ago, but not for baking bread.  It was quite heavy on the electric though!  I do have recipes for bread to be made in my halogen oven, which are a lot cheaper to buy, but haven't tried bread in it yet!

I have tried bread in the halogen oven and it wasn't a success, browned on the top and uncooked on the bottom.  I don't think the top heat of the halogen works, not for the recipes I tried.  Very good for finishing off part baked bread and re heating pies, chips etc. Much better than heating up the main oven.

Thanks for that Anne, may just try it for a couple of rolls to see how they go!
