un-netting brassicas
« on: October 04, 2012, 20:24 »
One of my nets has blown off the sprouts and they seem ok but my mother in law says the pigeons will eat them , I thought they were ok  to remove once they got to a certain size? all my other brassicas are near the top of the nets?

Get them back on!

First thing they'll go for is those nice brussel tops,
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I would put it back on quick, and after they have had the tops they will start on the sprouts.

I reduced my 2 layers of debris netting to one now the butterflies have gone so I've still got pigeon protection.
