I have a young surama rooster and he crows a lot very loud but as they get older they crow less. Suramas are the best chickens I love mine so much.

My cockerel does this funny little dance, he spreads one wing out and drops it to the side then flutters it like a fan and dances sideways up to the girl of his choice. Occasionally he'll get lucky and one will squat for him but mostly they just ignore him.

My young Light Sussex Bantams used to do the same dance when I had them.  They didn't wait for the ladies to squat!

I've founf that the smaller the cockerel, the louder and more piercing the crow.  It's one of the reasons I dicided to stop keeping Sabelpoot cockerels.
