I am preparing an area of my garden to place a polytunnel next spring.
I'm interested in setting up a system to monitor temperatures via my computer (mac). I think it would be useful to be able to look at trends etc and also see what temps have been like during the times that I'm not there etc.
My problem is - i can find really expensive systems that you need a masters degree to be able to understand- and I can find more basic wirelesss systems with no data logging , but nothing inbetween...
Does anyone know of an answer?

The item in this link calls itself a thermometer but looks rather like our USB wireless weather station, which came from Maplin - others are available. Something like it would be ideal with the ability to add an indoor sensor.

I was going to suggest Maplin too... I got one for Christmas (alas I wasn't bought the USB version so I can't comment on that), but it's good and I really enjoy monitoring the weather etc...
