Hi everyone, I was lucky enough to get my first allotment and have spent many hours enjoyment there. I also inherited a fully mature pear tree and an apple tree. The land use to be an orchid. I have read that this year has been bad for fruit tree's with with the weather.

This is true for my apple tree as I only have about 30 apples left on the tree. My pear is much better with hundreds of pears but there is definitely something wrong with the tree.

I would very much appreciate the advice here on what may be wrong and possible treatments. It looks like if may have spread a little to my apple tree.

That could be pear leaf gall which is caused by a rust fungus.

Do you have junipers near by?
