Twisted beans (again)
« on: August 06, 2012, 14:49 »
Here I go again. I get a good healthy broad bean plant that produces decent pods. Later down the line they produce more pods and they are pathetic small, twisted with bits of grey/black on them. I understand the lack of insects this year but this seems more like some kind of internal problem.

Mine are the same, but I think it's because they've done their best already with a good crop and these twisty ones are the tail-enders.

Don't expect too much of the plants and you won't be disappointed.  We just marvel that we can grow anything at all AND eat the fruits of our own efforts.  Wonderful, innit?
