Planning to try it but not sure if I prefer the aroma of freshly ground coffee in the garden to the perfume of honeysuckle, roses and jasmine. Hmmm

The legislation relating to pesticides is inclusionary rather than exclusionary.  Therefore, unless something is specifically licensed as a pesticide, then it is not legal to use it.

Coffee isn't specifically licensed, therefore is illegal to use.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Just get on and try it.
Have you ever heard of anyone being arrested for spraying coffee. I bet the average copper wouldn't even know the law existed.

The only thing I would be scratching my head over is do the slugs like one lump or two.
"Your first job is to prepare the soil.  The best tool for this is your neighbor's motorized garden tiller.  If your neighbor does not own a garden tiller, suggest that he buy one."

Tea is cheaper and the Pesticide Police can't smell it.

Those pesky EU regulations, eh !?
I usually chuck coffee grounds on the allotment. Full of nutrients and I must say I've had less snails n slugs.

  Know that feeling. Went to the plot and spent most of the time sitting in the car drinking coffee waiting for the rain to stop.  The veg growers equivalent of parking on the prom and watching the sea while cracking open the thermos
