Bye Bye Blodwyn
« on: June 20, 2012, 09:21 »
Just wanted to say that we lost our little Blodwyn yesterday.

She started out with sour crop last week but after after a visit to the vet, antibiotics and us doing everything we could for her, she died last night.

She was a really sweet little hen, always the first in to investigate something new in the garden, or try a new food.  A bright and curious little soul.

We've buried her in the garden where she loved to be.

Anyway, bye bye sweetheart.

So sorry for you. It's upsetting when it happens. Our garden has a few graves in it by now. Two cats and three hens, each with a little statue representing each character.
You obviously gave her a good life, bless her.
El.

Oh dear  :(  Poor old Blod but she had a good time while she was with you. Sour crop is like that, and despite all the treatment, sometimes it's just not enough to kick the infection into touch.  Maybe one day there will be a proper cure and it will become a thing of the past
