My "Rond de Nice" has just started putting out flowers... but they're all male so far...

Is this common?  will the female flowers appear eventually?

I would have thought so. Courgettes are not usually problematic

It could be temperature related too. Is it wet and or cool in France too?

Mine always seem to produce all males to start with but they soon sort themselves out.

The weather has been extremely unsettled.  Going from wet and cold (12-15C daytime) to wet and hot (25-30C daytime) this week, after a week long period which was hot and dry 

I really wish the weather would sort itself out!

Anyway after a closer look, I have identified at least one incipient female flower   I just hope that there is a male flower open at the same time to pollinate it   I've never had much luck with this variety in the past, so I've got my fingers crossed this year!
