I started my cucumbers off far too early and they are currently on my coffee table in the living room. The largest of them is now nearly 4ft tall and still growing and it's too cold to put them in the unheated greenhouse yet. In fact they're now too big to transport to the plot! They have tons of flowers on them too. Should I pinch out the top?

Cucumbers can grow the height of the greenhouse and then along wires at eaves height.

Just make sure they are in a large enough pot and keep them going --- mine are still in the packet next to me on the sofa.

I might plant them in a minute if the pots are clean....

oh dear. looks like i'll have cucumbers growing round my curtain pole. Think I'll have to risk it and put them in the polytunnel this week. I've got a mini plastic greenhouse too so perhaps if i put them in that and then inside the polytunnel it will be ok.
