Hi all i have four artichokes on my plot . i cut them down to about 8 inches above ground in the winter last year.They dont seem to be putting out any new growth have i killed them or will they start shooting soon.

mine have only just started shooting, so don't give up on them yet.

Mine were new in last year and I also cut them back and thought exactly the same as you. However they still look alive and I've sown another 4 just in case.  I remember last year that they took a while before growing further, so I think they'll be okay.
