fleece question
« on: April 11, 2012, 16:13 »
Hi,
I've not used fleece before, but my first early potatoes are just starting to emerge and I'm concerned if we get a frost so I bought some fleece.
My quetsion is... should I just cover with the fleece if there looks likely to be a frost and then just at night (uncovering during the day), or should I leave on for a few weeks all the time?

Additionally does leaving fleece on the crops cause them to not grow so well?

Thanks!

can't you earth them up a bit more, instead of fleecing?

Will earthing up work just as well? Do you mean cover the emerging leaves completely?

Thanks MOS!
