Depends what your bits and bobs are!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

your cucumbers and peppers will benefit from a bit of heat (A windowsill/ top of kitchen cuboards should be warm enough to germinate them), the runners and sweetcorn shouldn't need it.

The runners & sweetcorn certainly shouldn't need it as they should still be in their packets!

We've said many times on here that seed packets try and cover the whole country with their sowing times and it doesn't work very well.

The earliest times will refer to the very south of the UK and allowances have to be made for the climate changes as you move up the country.

true, but i try and push my luck with early sowings  :) - not advising it to anyone else tho, but seen as pawsnclaws has already sown them it would be a waste to throw them away, and you never know they might get away with it! ;)

I prefer to tip the balance more in my favour - away from "might get away with it"! I hate re-sowing.

And the cost of some of these seeds, you wouldn't want to have to buy another packet either!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
