Liquid type wormer?
« on: April 01, 2012, 19:52 »

Is there a wormer you can get for chickens in liquid form, instead of a powder that youhave to mix into their feed?

I've always wondered that, what with sheep and cattle wormer is in liquid form that you give oraly, or by injection.

If there is such a thing, could worming be easier if your flock is small/hobby sized?

There is a liquid form when I first got my hens I bought it, sorry don't know the name, you put it in their water, however there was an egg withdrawal, I soon discovered flubenvet, so threw it away.

Always wondered what other types are out there, and if they're any better...

Egg withdrawl? I guess not.

Think we'll stick with Flubenvet then..

You can buy the flubenvet in with the layers pellets so there is no mixing.

if you only have a few hens then buy just a small bag of the ready mixed feed at a time otherwise you may find yourself wasting some  :(
Staffies are softer than you think.

We got the ready treated pellets, but it has a short shelf life so definitely only need a small bag.

I was like that so I just had to get more hens so they would eat the larger bag!!!  ::)
