HI guys,

Needs some advice,  I was wondering if a tarpaulin would do the same as weed membrane fabric on my paths?  I'm planing on putting about 4" of wood chippings on top, would this kill off the weeds (block the light) underneath or just make them redirect?

any advice would be great thanks.

It would not let water through like membrane does, and if you poke holes in it you can guarantee weeds will somehow find their way through and grow up in your path
