evening all, fairly newbie to this site, been mega busy in plot today, red onion and garlic sets, broad bean seedlings and carrot seeds all in today, oh and built a cloche (first ever) to beat those beloved carrot fly !!potted up runners , and planted mangetout and kohl rabi in green house.phew.. really fancy growing mushrooms, just button ones as we eat alot but havent a clue where to start ? spores? kits? whats everyone reckon ?

You can get innoculated mushroom kits; I think they've had mixed reviews on this site. 

I've just been looking in one of the seed catalogues (Mr Fothergills, others are available too) and they have innoculated grains for various types.

Button mushrooms appear to be grown indoors (cool room, shed, greenhouse or garage)in a bag or crate according to the paper catalogue on my lap.
