First Dive!!
« on: October 22, 2007, 15:32 »
Just thought I would announce my first successful skip dive!
I often pick up the odd pallet or plank on the way home from work, but thought I was pushing my luck with looking for a wheelbarrow. As I parked up in the drive I noticed a new skip opposite. We live right on the high street and my husband was horrified that I was going to rummage through a skip in the middle of town, so I refrained and waited for the cover of darkness!

To my delight my wish was granted and out came a near perfect wheelbarrow (minus a wheel)
     Now the husband thinks he's some sort of hunter gatherer by sourcing a wheel from B&Q

If you'd have been a bit more experienced, you'd have taken the skip on the basis that someone had left it in the wheelbarrow!

The social services building opposite me was clearing out yesterday. Filled a large skip with office chairs, filing cabinets and general office equipment

Came into work this morning and it was about a quarter full all the chairs etc had gone only things left were a few old files and a couple of broken desks

Recycling at its best!!!
