chick poop...
« on: March 12, 2012, 08:17 »
hello,

My chick, which is a day now, it seems to dribble his poo out of him, instead of leaving it around the brooder box,

any ideas? i did wash it once with a baby wipe, but its done more, is this normal or abnormal?

is the chick eating the chick crumb and drinking ok Craig?  another thing to watch is that it isn't developing pasty bum, this is where the pooh sets and stops any more from coming out. remove it and keep its vent as clear as possible - plain warm water on a piece of kitchen roll will do the job  :)
What feed is it on - medicated or not?
Staffies are softer than you think.

If you put a little vasaline on its bum, the non feathered area, it helps to prevent pasty bums
