hi,my onions from seed are about 4 ins,pulled 1 up an thes a very small bulb shaping up,when should  i put them in the final part of the allotment,ty

Looked at my diary from last year and I planted mine on May 12th! I was a little late due to one thing and another, but they still made very large onions.

I'm not an onion expert, but looking at mine I'm inclined to hold on for a bit, (sown on 1st January) and put them out next month.
