hi all new on here :-)
i aquired  my plot last week after a years wait ,its 10m x 23m has a greenhouse and shed 3 x raised beds but it is overgrown with weeds!!! im told by the other people down there that it is a good plot under all the weeds, after reading books and this forum ive decided my best bet is to use weedkiller but am i to late in the season to use this method and still grow ? any help or ideas appreciated

If you click on Growing Help underneath the main banner at the top of the page, you'll find some articles including clearing the plot.

You're really too early to be applying weedkiller.  It will have glyphosate as its main ingredient, which needs the plant to be in active growth in order to be effective.  Wait another month or more, apply it as per the instructions on the bottle on a day when there's no wind and no rain due, and then wait 2-3 weeks before it's dying.

Rather than too late, you are just a little to early. Weed killers work best when there is active growth taking place. With a greenhouse and a shed you are off to a flying start in spite of weeds.
