Hiya flowergirl upright means bush type it won't climb but will form a lovely bush, Just googled Star wars and it's hardy in this country. So it should be OK outside, however yours sounds a bit small for planting out IMHO you would be better off over wintering in a frost free place ( if you can ) then planting out in spring.  If you can't and have to plant make sure the soil is free draining with plenty of organic matter, if you have some fleece make a little tent over it to help protect against the worst of the elements.

Hope this Helps

Just like that and it won't over take your garden, stop worrying. :)

Oh yes perennial means it will or should live for many years,

Biennial means lives 2 yrs generally flowers in it's second year.

Annual means live and flowers all in one year.

We have a glossary on here, but I can't find it at the mo to give you link.
