Reduced Fruit Trees
« on: January 20, 2012, 16:37 »
Ornamental Trees are having a sale... fruit trees are mostly around the £12 mark, and individual raspberry canes are £1.37 for those who don't want to buy a pack of 10 elsewhere.

And garden bargains have Morello cherry trees for £5.78.
They also have a reduced price on the new Reuben blackberry, and when you add two, they put a third into your basket at no charge, even though there's no 'buy two get one free' advertised on the site. (Will update this as to whether 3 arrive, but i was only charged for 2)

Course both of the above have postage charges, but so does everywhere if you're looking to get a fruit tree delivered. I got 3 Morellos. :-D

Excellent point, CDave.  For allotments, I always advise seeking a dwarfing rootstock.  Far more manageable for harvesting, plus a lot less impact on your neighbours.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
