Mentalists.

Thanks for clarifying that. However, are you one of the mentalists, because if so I need to get that statement verified by a psychiatric practitioner.  ;)

I've been very retrained this year.

I did a serious stock take in the autumn, I didn't need a lot and bought some of what I needed in the Wyevale sale.

All I've bought this year is sweetcorn and fresh parsnip seed.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I'm all done and ready to go.
I do have £35 in garden centre vouchers though so it will be a test when I go to spend them.
It's the pretty packets that get me

I've still got to choose 6 packets from the HSL and I'm a bit stumped. I've got to resist the peas, I must have a total of about 3 kilos of seed of about 10 different varieties.

Just avoid coloured corns, unless you are going into grinding for corn meal of course

We're OK there, there's no sweetcorn in the catalogue, I suppose it's not a UK hertitage seed!

I ordered some seeds yesterday taking advantage of T&M's free P&P.  I did check my tin first though to find out what I needed and I still forgot to buy parsnips. Which way to the garden centre?

Have Wyevale centres got a seed sale this year? If so, anybody know when it starts/ends?

It sounds as though it is/has been on already.

http://chat.allotment-garden.org/index.php?topic=83120.msg929722#msg929722

says September, is the time for the sale :) that's when they sell off the old seed -
at this time of year they will have new stock arriving!

We've just been to Wyevale for lunch.

Yes the sale is in the autumn, and ours only has a small gardening section at the mo with a small selection of seeds. Best part of the store is taken up with Christmas stuff.

I dare say in a week or so it'll be all change.

(They do have chicken manure pellets at half price for Garden Club members though)
