I planted a load of rocket in some pots just as an after thought (they were out of date) and they have sprouted and are growing well.  On the packet it says to thin it out....  sorry but how do you thin out tiny little rocet shoots... there are lots of them?

What would happen if i left them to their own devices?  thanks

It does mean just that, I'm afraid. Pick some out to leave more room for the rest to grow in. On the other hand, you could just leave them to grow a little bigger and pick a handful here or there to add to salads, sandwiches, pasta etc.....

The large plants you will eventually be left with can be planted out in the ground about 45cm apart, and will do you pround all next year too

very tasty it is, just remember to lift them by there seedling leaves the first 2 leaves  they produce not by the stems
