Hi all

I am having terrible trouble with white fly on all of the brassicas on my allottment. The site I have is part of a national trust scheme and so whatever treatment for this pest must be organic. Please help as they are now on the foliage of my parsnips

They are very bad this year and there have been lots of posts about them, they don't really damage the plants. Just wash the crop well when you harvest them.

Yup, you just love 'n' leave them .  Not much you can do with the little peskys

I had awful trouble with white fly this year
I tried any number of insecticides and found them useless against the ones that had taken a shine to my broad beans.
However after complaining about this to my Grandad he told me to try a water spray with washing up liquid in it.  Far more effective than those expensive and non organic insecticides.
My suspicion is there is so much in-organic farming around us the beasties around here have got immune. However they don't seem immune to the current solution of tipping our washing up water all over the plants.
Free watering + insecticide, bargain!
