A couple of our hens have scaly leg mite and another one of them I have noticed a few lice on.  So after reading through some older posts on here we are going to frontline them all and vaseline their legs.

We only have 4 hens, so don't need much, but I just phoned a vet and they won't sell it to me as we are not registered with them.

Where do you buy it from on the highstreet?  I wanted to get it today, but if thats fails then I will get it online

That wasn't too difficult then! you can also get it from Costco if you have one near you.

One thing though DON'T use both petrolium jelly (Vaseline) and FL or you are wasting your time and money.  FL works by spread across the skin not by being absorbed internalloy so puttng a protective barrier on the legs will just prevent it working.  Also don't keep washing the legs for teh same reason.

Use FL or PJ but not both together.
