early nights

now that the nights are drawing in and my ladies are going to bed earlier and earlier (7.30 last night) I can see that it won't be too long before they're away for at least 12 hours.
would a light in their enclosure encourage them to stay out longer?

also, I give them some mixed corn about an hour before I think they'll go to bed. at the moment, time wise that's ok, however, I don't get home till 5.30 and in a few weeks they'll have gone to bed @ this time. what should i do?

any help and advice as always will be much appreciated

I have a solar light (several actualy) on top of the run.
The string of 50 blue LEDs works best.
They stay out a big longer, and I can see better when I lock them away.

Not sure what if anything the local foxes make of it.
