There we were chugging down the canal and coming up to some moored narrowboats.  We slowed down and I had to do a double take as I wasn't sure I was seeing right.  There was a narrowboat, with a 'little narrowboat' tied to its rear.  The 'little narrowboat' turned out to be a chicken coop complete with ramp to the tow path with 2 bantams on the side merrily pecking away at the grass in a makeshift run. 

The owner of the boat appeared as I was taking pics and he reckons they give him an egg a day each. 

Just goes to show, you can keep chooks anywhere you happen to be

That is one of those things you just wouldn't believe unless you had seen it with your own eyes!  Amazing!

Oh how wonderful!  Next time I go on holiday I will remember this and get my chickens their own caravan to tow behind the car.  When we stop for a picnic they can jump out and stretch their legs!

Airline pilots can buy their own caravans.  I'm sure they get paid enough.  I'm reserving mine for chickens.
