I have two 9 day old chicks.  They don't seem to be wanting human cuddling etc so apart from dealing with the cleaning, heat and food are basically leaving them to it.

They seem fine except when we pick one up to have a look at them and the other goes mad lol

They have a heat lamp and come and go from it as necessary.

My question is..... They knod off standing up??? They lay down asleep like they've been hit by a bus???  and finally they cheap away very quietly but fast when they're asleep???
is this normal am I doing something wrong???

Nope that is perfectly normal for chicks

Run around, then fall over as if they were dead... it gave me the firght of my life the first time I saw it!

nope nothing wrong they have 2 phases they go through

1.just after hatch they are tough and nothing scares them for about a week
2. Ack dont look at us touch us we run and hide from everything
