Hi

I've been offered and given a 5rod plot by the council -- as it seems so late in the season what can I do with it now?

i'm trying to formulate a plan, so far - groundsmen have offered to cut back weeds for me and recommended I get things in to suppress weeds....

Any advice, tips greatly welcome. Thank you

Congrats on your new lotty.  I too have a half plot.

Look at this article on clearing a plot.  There are some monthly guides too there, plus if you go up to Growing Help there's also an article on planning the plot.

I'd accept the offer to cut back weeds, but if they offer to rotavate then beware - it will just cut them all up into little plants!
