I have a Flymo LITE XLT 250 strimmer. The original spool was brilliant, the spring loaded 'bump' feeder worked well until.........

The line ran out and I loaded it myself. For the past year it has been real pain because each time the line gets short I have to take off the spool and feed it through the spinner again. It is a real fiddle. New pre-loaded spools are about £30 so that isn't a solution.

I have lost my instruction book, does anyone know how to load the spool properly or where I can find a manual online please?

There are loads of suitable and/or related videos on YouTube. Have a look there. If there isn't one for your exact model, you'll be able to spot the closest one.

Brilliant! I use Youtube for all sorts of things and hadn't thought about this.

I found a model similar to mine and worked out staright away why mine was not working properly - It was ME! I was leaving the line trapped in the little notches. Duh.
