Ripening Peaches
« on: July 17, 2011, 22:05 »
I have a smallish peach tree in my garden and it was so heavily laden with peaches, one of the main branced broke off this weekend. The peached are not ripe yet - Does anyone know how I can ripen these peaches off? - and has any one a good recipe? - I think there wil be too many to eat fresh
Thanks

You could try storing them in a paper bag with a ripening banana - the banana gives off ethylene gas which stimulates ripening in other fruits too.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
