I have a glut of peas this year. Can anyone give info on a easy way to pod them or is there a gadget you can get to do this?

Hi no gadgets just a comfy chair either in the garden or in front of the telly with a tray and a colander and I pod away, very satisfying the pods just pop open and I slide the peas ou,t done some today and not a maggot in sight   :D
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

I hold the pod upright, with the stalk at the bottom.  When you look at the top, there is a flat edge and an angled edge.  I have the angled edge towards me and press on it so as to put pressure on it - the two sides then pop open.  Depending on what I feel like, I either then peel the two sides apart, or continue to squeeze so as to open the pod up along the bit which is already open.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
