I have just brought home 2 beautiful caulis from my allotment and there are more to come this is my 3rd year of trying so really pleased hurrah hurrah!!   :lol:
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

What did you do different this year Starry? 

In my 3-year experience I have never produced anything bigger than a floret :mad:

Don't do what I did and boil the life out of it ! Compared to the supermarket ones they only need a quick blitz.

Nice one!

I've got 2 growing into at least 4 or 5in wide while others are small. I have been told to pick them now otherwise it will split up.

domw001,

i grew them beginning of March and left them in pots until end of April and waited until they grew at least 4 true leaves or more. some time later moved them into bigger pots and piled soil up to the 1st new leaves and water well. around mid April i left them outside in the weather and then planted them on the plot. i give it small dressing of groworganic before potting them outside then every 2 weeks give it a little spread around the stem and water, or you can make tea from it and water them with that.

I just changed the variety "all year round" and they are about 5" across really tight white curds considering there was hardly anything there last week I was really surprised will take a photo but I cant seem to get photos to down load on here   :unsure:
