 Hope someone can help!
I am new to the all chicken keeping thing! I have recently noticed that one of my 7 week old chicks has a swollen bum! it looks rather red and she has no feathers around that area, she is a buff orpington and over the last couple of days i have noticed shes looking a little dirty a bit unkept!

Not sure what to do with her next any help from you guys would greatly be appreciated.

Hello Sarahgill and welcome to the forum 

I am not an expert; however one of my chicks had some dried pooh building up on its bum and I had to wash it off gently with a damp cloth.  She is fine now.  Apparently chicks are susceptible to something called pasty bum.  Is her vent clear?

I'm sure you will have more expert people responding.  In the meantime good luck and keep us posted.
