Afternoon all,

Apologies for the adhoc diagram i don’t have access to upload a proper one at work!

The picture is my coop - assume x = wall p = perch d= door.

Basically 2 of my 13Wk chooks still refuse to perch and just nest down on the floor by the door!

Is this ok or should i try and make that bit uncomfortable to sleep on so they perch?  i read some where its not good for chooks to sleep away from a perch?

(i thought i had fixed this by boarding up the nest boxes, but they have just found some where new not to perch! lol)

Cheers

Lewis

hehe Lewis, chooks always find a way to test us!

Every night, once it is dark, open the coop, pick up the chicks and place them on the perch.  It might take a week or two, but they will eventually get used to perching ;)

Mine are ex bats and prefer the nest box - I'm happy with that if they are!
