curley kale

i noticed in another thread curley kale is a perenial if protected from frost, is this true? (not that i'm calling that person a liar!!)

if i cover with bubble wrap late autumn through ti;ll spring have i got a good chance of saving it, i only have 3 plants but i love the leaves

Sorry but I don't believe so - if you are growing it this year to harvest over winter then I'm pretty sure it will flower at some time next year, then that will be the end of your plant.

I don't think it's perennial and they're very frosthardy anyway. They're a winter vegetable so they do "carry on" into the new year.
Chard tends to do well over the winter with light protection from frosts, though.

It is a biennial and will flower next year, but is as hardy as anything.
