Never grown these before. Just dug up two roots & got 46 tubers, so quite chuffed. Salad tonight then, I'll let you know how they taste.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

So much more than a salad potato ...   Leave a few (raw) for 2 or 3 weeks (to set), then (well) roasted in their skins with garlic mayo.

Well, if the others harvest at the same rate, I'll have 460 tubers to play recipes with!

Because I lost all mine to flooding I was forced to buy some last weekend.

My OH knows that I will only eat them if they are organic,so bothered to pay the much higher price.

I looked forward to the treat and was very disapointed.Yes they were pink fir apple, yes they were organic, but they had come from Egypt and had no taste whatsoever.

My OH was so delighted at finding me a real treat  packed and washed in the organic section but had failed to notice the country of origin. The miles travelled had robbed them of any taste left,if indeed they had any to begin with.

Mine were  pathetic this year as I had to dig them up so early because of blight but they still tasted fabulous.I grow them every year and they suffer very little from slugs so I would normally be looking to dig them up at the end of this month.Next year can`t be as bad as this, surley?!
