Nearly lost Atilla the Hen

She went broody tuesday and was clamped to the nestbox until yesterday.  She then just lay outside in the pen in a corner all day, tail down and not eating or drinking.  I had given some extra ventilation to the nestbox but I think the heat exhausted her.

She did go into the hen house last night but I feared the worst when I couldn't see her this morning.  But, when she heard me talk to the other two she emerged, a little slowly but better than yesterday.  She has been eating and drinking a little so I think she will be ok.

It might have broken her broodiness, but the heat nearly killed her.  A lesson learned.
