Does anyone know where I can get 2 or 3 Polish Chickens from in the North Kent / Medway area. Always my favourite, I had two which came from Bristol but fox got them.

Also - how old do chickens live to. My two oldest are now 10 and a half.

Ah what a shame I had some for sale but all gone now.  I know where to get them but think we are too far away from you. Wiltshire?

Ipswich is probably doable if I can't find anywhere closer.

Do you have an address and/or phone number?

Yes, chickens can live to a ripe old age (sometimes).  The oldest I know is over 7 years.  Pure breeds tend to live longer than hybrids as they are not bread just for maximum egg laying in their first year, but for their other talents, mostly beauty  :D

Yes my two 10 and a half year olds are going strong - Pickle and Pepper - all the chickens we have had have had names starting with P. I forget the reason why my late wife chose this but think it is something to do with our dogs which our friend the breeder named after car registrations??? Just ordinary bantams. We got them when we moved house from the same friend - I think her eldest was 14

Now down to 4
Perlina - a white silkie - are all silkies totally stupid or is it just mine,
and Penelope a buff Plymouth Rock she is six and a half.
