hiya ive been asking around the plots but keep getting different answers so thought would ask on here.

is there an "optimum" position to plant my fruit down.

im defo going to be doing

rasperries,gooseberries, red and black currants,strawberries ( though I may have this in stock pots ) rhubhard

a was going to have one long bed down the side of my plot and have the taller items at one end so not to shade everything else and then have a patch the other end for "smaller" fruits such as the strawberries and have everything in the middle?

what do you all think

I'd be wary of putting anything perennial in the 'middle' as they'll grow large roots that suck up moisture and nutrients for a large area around them. That doesn't mean you can't, you just need to keep it in mind.

Other than that it sounds like a good plan.

Make sure your goosegogs go in a sunny well ventilated position or mildew may be a problem.
